While at the University of Toledo, the Economics Department was ranked in the top 20 nationwide for Economics. It was number 17 to be exact.

Columnist for The Collegian for 4 years, College Republicans, Student Government Senator, Student Government Presidential candidate, Muslim Students Association, International Student Association, Pre-Medical Club, Economics Honor Society.

While running for student Government President with Vice-Presidential Candidate Terry Kuhl, was able to garner the second highest voter turnout in University of Toledo history, with 15.9% of the student population voting. This was highest turnout in over 50 years. No other election even garnered a 10% turnout.


1999-2002
Masters Degree
Medical College of Ohio, Toledo, Ohio

Degree was not completed. Began in the Physiology Department pursuing a masters degree in physiology, then moved to the surgery department pursuing masters degree with that department.

While in physiology, was conducting lab research on HIV/AIDS, while in surgery was doing research on liver transplantation.

The Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine has been in business for over 102 years, when I began my schooling. Routinely ranked among the top medical schools in the midwest.

Writer for Vital Signs, ran for Student Body President all four years and was narrowly defeated each year, taught MCAT preparation classes to masters program students, taught in physiology workshops, volunteered at student health clinic many nights during year 1 through 3, gave many health related presentations to the greater Chicago community, intramural football, soccer, volleyball, dodge ball, and basketball, won over 8 intramural championships in four years.

Internal Medicine Resident Physician at St. James Hospital. St. James is an academic institution that has trained many physicians over the years. St. James ranks as a Top 100 hospital in cardiovascular disease. I hope to pursue the cardiology and interventional cardiology fellowships that they also have at St. James.
